Gurez faces shortage of essentials, Locals demand opening of Gurez-Bandipora road for Traffic

Bandipora April 8 (KNS) : Ex Deputy Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi & locals of Gurez today appealed the LG Adminisistration to allow traffic on Bandipora-Gurez road so that fruits, vegetables will be available in the area.

Nazir Gurazi said to Kashmir News Service (KNS) that Bandipora-Gurez road is only surface link which connects Gurez and Tulail Tehsils with outside world. He said people of the area are facing tremendous problems due to inclement weather. 

With the holy month of Ramadhan around, the shortage of essential commodities should not be here, he said, appealing the authorities to make speedy efforts to allow traffic.

Meanwhile BRO has also cleared snow on 86 Km on Gurez Bandipora road some days ago.

However an official of District Administration Bandipora said that "once we recive clearness and trial from BRO after that vecheles can allowed on Gurez bandipora road.(KNS)
