Srinagar, Aug 31 (KNS) : On the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and the birth anniversary of the sixth Imam of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (AS), the Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian organised a grand Milad gathering at the Hawza Ilmia Jamia Bab-ul-Ilm, Mirgund, Budgam which was attended by a large number of prominent religious scholars and clerics.

On the occasion, the book “Bagh-e-Khuda”, prepared for Maktab students, was formally unveiled. The launch of the book was described as an important initiative towards strengthening religious education and promoting the moral and spiritual upbringing of the younger generation.

Following the gathering, a magnificent Milad procession was taken out under the leadership of the President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi. The procession culminated at the Markazi Imambara Budgam.

Thousands of students, both boys and girls, from Jamia Bab-ul-Ilm and its various affiliated Maktabs, along with teachers, members and workers of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian and a large number of devotees, participated in the procession with great reverence and devotion. The participants expressed their profound love and devotion to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) through recitations of Durood-o-Salaam and devotional poetry.

Addressing the Milad gathering prior to the procession, General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas Mosavi Al-Safavi, said that the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) constitute a comprehensive source of guidance and a complete way of life for the entire Muslim Ummah, emphasising unity, brotherhood, knowledge, high moral values, justice and steadfastness against oppression and injustice.

Extending greetings to the Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and the birth anniversary of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (AS), he highlighted the significance of Unity Week and stressed that religious education, intellectual awareness and the effective moral and educational upbringing of the younger generation have become more important than ever in the present era.

Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas said that misinformation, baseless propaganda and intellectual confusion prevailing in society could only be effectively countered through facts, knowledge and truth.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe stressed the need to provide the younger generation with meaningful religious, moral and educational guidance so that they emerge as knowledgeable, Quran-conscious and upright individuals, and as true followers of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), capable of playing a positive and constructive role in society and the Muslim Ummah.

Addressing the gathering, President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi, said that the true celebration of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was not confined merely to expressions of joy, emotion and devotion, but required Muslims to translate the Prophet’s message and teachings into their practical lives.

Extending greetings to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and the birth anniversary of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (AS), Aga Syed Hassan said that the true message of Milad lies in the promotion of knowledge, awareness, morality and character-building. He particularly emphasised the need to equip the younger generation with education and intellectual awareness, stating that only a knowledgeable, educated and morally upright generation could lay the foundation of a strong, dignified and progressive society.

Aga Syed Hassan said that knowledge and intellectual awareness are among the most effective means of confronting oppression, injustice and exploitation. He urged the youth to make education, learning, research, high moral values and exemplary character an integral part of their lives and play an active role in building a better society founded on justice, equality, brotherhood and Islamic values.

He further said that the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the immense intellectual and scholarly legacy of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (AS) continue to serve as a guiding light for humanity. He added that by incorporating the teachings of these great personalities into individual and collective life, it would be possible to build a better society free from ignorance, hatred, oppression and injustice.

The Milad gathering and procession concluded with special prayers for peace and security, unity among Muslims, and the promotion of harmony and brotherhood.(KNS)
