Srinagar, February 5 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government spokesperson on Friday  announces the restoration of 4g internet services services in Union Territory.

J&K Official spokesman, Rohit Kansal tweeted which reads, "4G mobile internet services being restored in entire J&K @diprjk"

It’s for the first time after more than a  year that the 4g service will be restored on mobile phones.

Internet services were snapped in J&K on August 5, 2019, the day its special status was revoked, and was later restored in a phase-wise manner. However, The high speed mobile data services in the districts of Ganderbal and Udhampur Was restored on trial basis, while in rest of the districts, the Internet speed was continued and restricted to 2G.

Mean while Former chief Minister and vice president National conference, Omar Abdullah in a tweet while reacting the announcement said"4G Mubarak! For the first time since Aug 2019 all of J&K will have 4G mobile data. Better late than never". (KNS)
