Baramulla August 13 (KNS): Kalapahar Warriors  conducted a friendly volleyball match at Government Higher Secondary School, Bhijama for middle schools on 12 Aug 23 as part  a seven day Community Outreach Programme in view of Independence Day to with an aim of "Promoting regional harmony and uplifting the society".

The event was conducted with an aim to to provide opportunities for students to excel in sports and take up sports as a profession and inculcate values of sportsmanship and to  reaffirm Army's commitment towards fostering peace and to provide an impetus to the sporting talents in the region  and  also served as a suitable platform to generate goodwill and cohesive bond between Army & Awam.

The students keenly and actively participated in the match and showcased their skill and exuberance on the ground .  The event was witnessed by 80civilians. The  event culminated with prize distribution and motivational speech by the Headmaster on the importance of participation and sportsmanship. The event was highly appreciated by  local population.(KNS)
