Faculty of Forestry, SKUAST-K concluded the seven (07) days short training course


Srinagar, Sep 05 (KNS): Division of Sericulture and Agro forestry, Faculty of Forestry, SKUAST-Kashmir in collaboration with "NAHEP SKUAST-Kashmir, Institutional Development Plan" concluded the seven days short training course on Soft Skills for Faculty and Research Scholars on ‘Communication and Personality development’ from 29th September ? 5th October, 2020. The valedictory event held on 5th October, 2020 attended by around 500 participants was moderated by Dr. Nazir Ahmad Pala, Scientist SAF and Dr. Megna Rashid. Dr. K. N. Qaisar, Professor and Head, Division of SAF, Faculty of Forestry, SKUAST-K, delivered the formal welcome address and briefed the overall feedback of the participants to the audience. Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganaie, PPMO and Co-Patron of the event impressed on the need of such programmes for youth of the country. Prof. (Dr.) Syed Masood-ul-Hassan Balkhi (Director Education, SKUAST-K) deliberated beautifully on the subject and advised to continue such more programmes as all the departments need such well trained professionals. Dr. Sudhir Kumar (IFS) and DDG Extension Education, ICFRE, Dehradun and guest of Honor delivered through provoking address and appreciated the content of the event.Prof. (Dr.) Nazeer AhmedHon’ble Vice Chancellor,SKUAST-K and Chief guest of the event was very happy to see the end result and positive feedback by both the resource persons and participants about the programme. The Hona,ble Vice Chancellor instructed that all other faculties shall conduct these programmes for students and faculty members for their future welfare. Both Chief guest Prof. (Dr.) Nazeer Ahmed Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K and guest of the Honour Dr. Sudhir Kumar (IFS) and DDG Extension Education, ICFRE, Dehradun praised the orgainsing secretary Dr. Javeed Mugloo and his team for the event and impressed upon all to conduct more such type of training events. Dr. Javeed Mugloo, Organising secretary of the event and senior scientist SAF, Faculty of Forestry, SKUAST-K presented vote of thanks.
The programme was attended by 500 participants from 28 states/UTs of India apart from ten international participants. The participants included teaching and scientific fraternity across the country, officers from government functionaries, members from MNCs, research scholars and people from NGOs.This training programme had 12 technical sessions with experts across the country to train the participants.The event was also attended by our experts Dr. K.
