Jammu, January 29:(KNS) Senior BJP leader; Er. Aijaz Hussain, Member, District Development Council Srinagar on Saturday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan here.

DDC member, Er. Aijaz Hussain while interacting with Lt Governor, apprised him of the functioning of DDC Srinagar, besides presenting the demands of people pertaining to creation of posts for Biomedical Engineers in Hospitals across J&K and generating more employment opportunities for the youth.

    He discussed with the Lt Governor various issues, including proper maintenance of rural roads and providing Birth Certificates by Block Development offices in rural areas, besides other issues related to the welfare of Shia community of J&K.

         The Lt Governor while interacting with the DDC member gave a patient hearing to all his issues and demands. He assured him of proper redressal of the genuine issues and demands on merit.

    The Lt Governor observed that the UT administration is committed to holistic and equitable development of J&K involving the representatives of grassroots democracy and will of the common people of villages and cities. He urged the DDC member to continue his endeavors for furthering the welfare of the people of his constituency. (KNS)
