Srinagar, May 28:(KNS) An encounter breaks out between security forces and militants in Ganowpora area of South Kashmir's Shopian district on Friday.

According to reports that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Ganowpora.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, ensuing a gunfight.

Till this report was filed, the firing was underway between militants and security forces.(KNS)
