Srinagar October 20(KNS): On the conclusion day of “My Town my Pride programme” Mr Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, KAS Director Horticulture Kashmir (Visiting officer) today on 20-10-2020, organized a autumn plantation drive then the visiting officer inspected the Solid waste management site at Beerwah. In the meantime a review meeting was taken in respect of all the Centrally Sponsored Schemes of ULB,HFA,SBM,SPM,SVANIDHI. Matter concerning the welafare of general public were discussed and many issues putforth by the public, the Director Horticulture (Visiting officer) assured the public for taking up the issues for redressal with the higher authorities on priority basis. The certificates of merit were distributed among the students of various schools and colleges for their encouragement and appreciation. Santation drive in the vicinity town of Beerwah was main attractions of the programme for general awareness of the public.
In the 2nd session inspection of fruit plant nursery Beerwah was conducted and onspot instructions were given to the Chief Horticulture officer for gearing up of all the developmental activities in advance so that elite plant material is taken in hand for the benefit of growers of catchment area.(KNS)
