Poonch June 20 (KNS):  Deputy Inspector General of Police, Rajouri Poonch range, Dr. Haseeb Mughal held a detailed review of security arrangements for upcoming Shri Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra.

Dr. Haseeb chaired this security review meeting in Shri Baba Budha Amarnath temple at Poonch Mandi in which officers of police administration including SSP Poonch, CO

32 Bn BSF Mandi Poonch, SDPO concerned, SHO Mandi was present along with Commandant of Mandi based BSF Battalion.

DIG was briefed about yatra security plan, area domination exercises and cooperation by civil society for upcoming Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra.

He was also briefed about route security plan as well as site security plan of yatra which will be maintained through a multi-tier security apparatus.

DIG visited all the parts of Baba Budha Amarnathji temple where temple management representatives and priest talked about efforts for development of temple premises which are going on.  

He issued directions to improve security apparatus wherever required in and around the temple with main emphasis on keeping vigil on every area the temple through manpower as well as CCTVs.

The measures for crowd control were also discussed in depth with emphasis on proper division of devotees in different queues in order to prevent rush inside temple.

DIG Rajouri Poonch range also met civil society members of the area and sought their active cooperation to make the event smooth and peaceful. 

All necessary security measures will be there in place to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of yatra which remained suspended in last two years due to COVID19.(KNS)
