Srinagar, July 02 (KNS): An introductory media interaction was held in Conference hall of DPL Rajouri on Saturday by DIG Rajouri Poonch Range, Dr Haseeb Mughal.
According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), other officers who participated in this interaction a were Addl SP Hqrs Rajouri Vivek shekhar, DySp Hqrs Rajouri Vinod Sharma, DySP Ops Shivinder Singh and SDPO Nowshera Touseef Reshu.
It reads that after brief introduction with media persons inputs and suggestions by media persons were noted for better policing in future.
“Besides policing, other issues related to general public were also discussed so that the same could be taken up with civil administration for better delivery of public services,” it reads.
It added that the main issues pointed out by media persons included betterment of traffic regulation (though they appreciated Police Rajouri & Poonch for innovative methods), drug menace, verification of shops and house tenants especially from outside Rajouri for better tab on their antecedants, placement of sign boards at the beginning of each police station jurisdiction along with their communication numbers, need for massive CCTV setup on nakas and in public places, erratic supply of drinking water and power supply.
It said that DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range elaborated his vision and mission on all these points and his other objectives to be achieved in general policing in Rajouri and Poonch districts.
The statement further added that the interaction meet ended with high tea session in the DPL lawns. (KNS)
