Handwara, July 01: Residents of Haril village of Langate Handwara today said the dysfunctional bathrooms at recently promoted Higher Secondary School Haril are giving tough times to staff of the school and the students.

They said that female students are facing tremendous problems in absence of the water in these bathrooms, and added that there are around 12 bathrooms and none of them functioning.

A local resident of the area said that the teachers, as well as students of this institution, are being forced to fetch the water from nearby.

He also said the Village Education Committee( VEC) whose head is Chairman haril has never paid any attention to the issues and instead of paying heed to basic issues he demanding big institutions for the area.

He further said that he (VEC Chairman ) is never made any attempt to provide the water at the HSS Haril nor he has paid any visit.

In charge Principal of the institution has admitted the problem in the institution and said they are facing many problems in absence of water. 

Inhabitants of the area have urged the higher officials to intervene in the matter and restore the water supply in institutions so that the staff and students will not face the problems. (KNS)
