During the tour Sadhotra was disappointed to see the total loss of crop of Paddy and Vegetables. Harvested paddy is in deep water and standing crop is also lying down in deep water and totally damaged. Yet administration is to asses the loss of crop. On his visi the found that there is no need to assess as it is totally loss and govt should start distributing compensation/relief on war footing after announcing 100% loss of crop.

National Conference leader asked the Govt to give relief compensation to one and all those who have Kisan Credit Cards or no Kisan Credit Cards. Moreover those people who have taken land on rent for sowing crop should also be compensated. The labour which was waiting for their labour on harvesting of crop be also compensated.

On his tour Sadhotra observed that people are disappointed on the visit of Union Home Minister Sh. Amit Shah as they were expecting that when Kisans of Jammu are in grave trouble due to total loss of crop due to hailstorm and rains Shah will definitely announce relief/compensation but to their utter surprise he even did not mentioned about the loss of crop of Kisans, it is unfortunate he asserted.

Kisans are totally dependent on crop and they see the crop with the hope that after harvesting it they will fulfill their social needs like education to the children, health care, nourishing of the children, construction of their houses and other social obligations. This loss of crop have dashed the hopes of kisans to the ground and he is feeling helpless. It is high time that government should act on war footing to give a sense of belonging to the common farmers.

Mr Sadhotra demanded 100% loss of crop of Paddy, Vegetables be declared and 100% compensation and relief on war footing be distributed as Kisan is not even in a position to sow next crop of wheat while giving compensation govt should take effective steps to make the fields of Kisans dry for next crop.
