Dar-ul-Khair Mirwaiz Manzil grieves over fire incidents, provides aid to victim families

Srinagar, Oct 29 (KNS): Dar-ul-Khair Mirwaiz Manzil has expressed deep grief over the unfortunate fire incidents in the recent days in which 22 houses in Padar Kishtwar were completely burnt down and 4 residential houses were gutted in Tanki Mahalla near the historic Central Jama Masjid Srinagar, which has caused a huge loss of properties.


In a statement issued to KNS, Dar-ul-Khair on behalf of its incarcerated Patron Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq expressed sympathy and solidarity with the fire victims and in view of the onset of winter and the weak financial condition of the victims, emphasised the need for their immediate rehabilitation and assistance.

In this connection, a delegation from Dar-ul-Khair Mirwaiz Manzil, under the leadership of its member Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon, went to Tanki Mohalla Srinagar and offered rice, flour, blankets, kitchen kit and other basic necessities to the 4 affected families as aid. The delegation also expressed sympathy and solidarity with them.

Meanwhile, Moulana Ahmad Saeed Naqshbandi, the Khateeb and Imam of the Central Jama Masjid Srinagar, also visited Tanki Mahalla and met the affected family members and expressed his sympathy with them.

The nation of Kashmir is aware of the fact that Dar-ul-Khair Mirwaiz Manzil since its inception has been providing financial and material support to the people in need during the calamities without discrimination, and is engaged in rehabilitation of the victims as much as possible, the organisation said in the statement. 

Dar-ul-Khair Mirwaiz Manzil reiterated his appeal to the wealthy and affluent people to provide all possible help and support to this relief and rehabilitation organisation as they have been doing in the past, so that the relief work can continue. (KNS)
