Copperware crafts business sees boom in this Baramulla village

Baramulla, Oct 26 (KNS): Copperware craft, a master's craft is now in full boom in Kreeri village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla as around most of the youth are engaged in this art.

Abdul Hamid Banday, local craftsman has been in this work for the last 40 years and has taught this art to around 100 youth in the locality.

He started his work right from his childhood, learned the craft in Srinagar and started his business in Kreeri. He became a pioneer of the craft in the area.

Talking to KNS he said that the youth of the Valley should give up bad habits like drug addiction and other evils and involve themselves in the craft.

He also appealed to the administration that they should promote and invest more and more in this industry so that the youth who are involved in wrong activities would get engaged and refrain from these wrongdoings.(KNS)
