Congress holds consultation with J&K's Party leadership

Jammu, June 21 (KNS): The Central Leadership of the Congress  today held consultation with Senior party leadership of  Jammu and Kashmir over the issue of all party meet called by the centre ,on J&K scheduled to be held on 24 June.


   As per the statement issued to Kashmir News Service, The JKPCC President  G A Mir organised and co-ordinated the meeting of Senior JK leaders with former lop in Rajya sabha and senior AICC Leader  Ghulam Nabi Azad and AICC incharge Jk affairs smt Rajni Patil .


The Congress leaders from Jammu and Kashmir shared their views on various aspects of the issue and gave their inputs about the current situation and the sentiments and aspirations of the people in Jammu and Kashmir.


 The leaders viewed that people are facing great hardships under the present bureaucratic regime in the absence of a democratic Government for almost three years now.


The centre government has always acted in an undemocratic and l unilateral manner with out taking on board the people especially the mainstream forces who have always fought against the designs of anti national and anti social forces.


More than two years after the disbanding and downgrading of the historical state, the people are deprived of full statehood status and rights and lack of a duly elected government.The promises have remained unfulfilled and claims proved hollow as a result people of different sections are fed up especially the educated youth are getting frustrated.


The Congress had in its resolution on August 6th ,2019 had called for immediate restoration of full statehood but the centre government failed to do so without any reason and didn't listen to the voice of the people, the fundamental principle in democracy as followed in this country through dialogue to resolve all contentious issues.


The leaders shared their views and inputs about the issues and aspirations of the people of different shades and regions to be raised , if the the party finally decides to take part in the deliberations, after another round of high level meeting is scheduled to to be held tomorrow at 5 pm under the chairmanship of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh ji.


Those who participated today include  Tara Chand, Mula Ram, Taj Mohuiddin, Raman Bhalla, Ravinder Sharma, Balwan Singh, Jugal Kishore, Yogesh Sawhney, Abdul Majid Wani,  T S Bajwa, Ashok Sharma, Manmohan Singh.


  Several other senior leaders who could not join the today's virtual meeting,were consulted on phone by the JKPCC chief.(KNS)
