Srinagar Jan 26:(KNS)   The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Wednesday celebrated 73rd Republic Day at Srinagar Party Office.

In an extraordinary function, Congress Leaders and Workers led by Senior Party Leader & Srinagar District President Abdul Gani Khan unfurled the Tricolour at Congress office Premises while singing the Nation Anthem.

The participants exchanged greetings and distributed sweets on this occasion.

Among other who were present on this occasion included Mohd Hussain Wada, Zahid Bashir, Shameema Sopori, Shameema Khan, Saira, Sozia Mehreen, frontal organizations and prominent workers of Srinagar.

Speaking on the occasion Abdul Gani Khan extended greetings to people and  said that Republic Day Function reminds us the uniqueness and significance of the Constitution, which stands gurantees to fundamental rights and equality to the Indian citizens irrespective of their caste or religion.

Constitution safeguard the rights of every citizen, there was a need to further strengthen it to ensure that the idea of India is protected, Khan added.(KNS)
