Collaborative Plantation Programmes under “Green J&K Drive” held at Katiyanwali, Chandoosa and Boniyar

Baramulla December 16:(KNS) Today Jhelum Valley Forest Division Baramulla organized various collaborative Plantation programmes under “Green J&K Drive” flagship programme of J&K Forest Department. The Plantation programmes were held at Katiyanwali, Chadoosa & Boniyar which were kick started by Chairman District Legal services Authority Baramulla ( District Principal & Session Judge Baramulla) Justice Sanjay Parihar, in presence of Secretary District legal services authority Sub Judge  Faizan ul Haq Iqbal, Divisional Forest Officer J.V Forest Division Baramulla Pervaiz Ahmad Wani, District Information Officer Mr. Mudasir Hussain Chowdary, Dy. Superintendent of Police Mr. Gulzar Rasheed. During these Programmes 270 Nos of Deodar and other Conifer saplings were planted. The programmes were attended by Commandant BSF 49 BN Gantmulla, Range Officer Baramulla, Range Officer Boniyar, Forest Field Front line staff, Panchayat bodies and Locals of these areas.
Chairman District Legal Services Authority Hon’ble Justice Sanjay Parihar lorded the efforts of Forest department for increased green cover as reported by FSI and acknowledged the activities of Forest department in taking due care of environment. Divisional Forest Officer J.V Forest Division Baramulla Mr. Perviaz Ahmad Wani on these occasions laid stress for having more and more plantation programmes to provide and secure the Ecological security to the inhabitants of Baramulla District and future generation yet to come and appealed other departments and Panchayats bodies to take part in such programmes and make “Green J&K Drive” a success.(KNS)
