Kulgam, Sep 12 (KNS): While the government is apparently acting tough on corruption, the alleged irregularities have yet again surfaced, this time in Child Development Project Office (CDPO) D H Pora Kulgam.
According to the KNS correspondent, Zahoor Andrabi, the CDPO D H Pora Kulgam, as per his RTI reply shows the expenditure of Rs 78048 with the proof of receipts, but to the shock, the receipts are said to be ‘fake’ and made up by the officer to cover his ‘fault’.
In a reply to RTI filed by this reporter, urging CDPO D H Pora Kulgam to provide details about amount spent on transportation from 2013 to 2018, the CDPO said that in three years from 2013-2016, the office has spent Rs 63500 over transportation.
It is worth to mention here that the abovementioned amount was spent under the supervision of erstwhile CDPO D H Pora.
However, according to the reply, the office under the supervision of present CDPO has spent Rs 78048 in the period of 11 months, starting from 01-03-2017 to 16-02-2018.
The office according to the KNS correspondent provided details with receipts of the fuel stations and sumo and taxi stands.
Interestingly, the filling station owner as well as the Sumo Stand association disowned the receipts provided by the CDPO, saying that these receipts are ‘forged’ and doesn’t belong to them.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Talking to KNS, owner of Iqbal Filling Station, Nisar Ahmad whose receipts CDPO enclosed with the reply to RTI, said, these receipts doesn’t belong to his filling station as it doesn’t carry their ‘private symbol’.
He said that he will be filing a case against him in the nearby police station for using his receipts ‘illegally’.
Shockingly, the receipts provided were also disowned by the members of Shabnum Sumo and Taxi stand who have also filed a complaint against the CDPO D H Pora at a local police station.
Meanwhile, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Khawaja Nazir Ahmad said that a team will be constituted to investigate the matter and if anybody found guilty will be dealt with strictly as per the law.
Despite repeated attempts, CDPO D H Pora Kulgam, Javaid Ahmad couldn’t be contacted for the comments as he didn’t receive the phone calls. (KNS)
