Srinagar, January 24 (KNS): The Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) has arrested an official of Sub-District Hospital, Sopore (Jammu and Kashmir) in a bribery case related to issuance of Date of Birth Certificate.
A case was registered on a complaint against an official working in the Date of Birth Section of a Sub-District Hospital, Sopore (J&K) on the allegations of demanding bribe from the complainant for issuance of birth certificate in favour of his daughter.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIt was further alleged that the accused initially demanded a bribe of Rs.5,000/- which was reduced to Rs.3,600/- after negotiation. CBI caught the accused after accepting bribe of Rs.3,600/- from the complainant through online transaction.
The arrested accused will be produced today before the Special Judge, CBI cases, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
