Srinagar March 14 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC)Tuesday strongly condemned the gruesome murder of a young lady in Budgam and demanded exemplary punishment to the killer.
The shameful incident has shaked the conscience of the society, it should work as a wake up call, JKPCC maintained.
Expressing deep shock and anguish over the gruesome murder of lady in Soibug area of Budgam District, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee termed the incident a black spot on society’s face while expressing grave concern and disappointment over this shameful incident, which has shaked the conscience of the society.
Though there was a massive outcry as expected against this heinous crime, but the society needs to take collective efforts to contain the crime, besides the administration especially J&K Police must keep a vigil over such activities and contain these with iron hands,
JKPCC appealed to people to wake up before the crime engulfs the entire society leading to the ugliest situation, JKPCC added and extended deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for their courage to bear the loss. The Party also prayed for eternal peace to the slain lady.
Kashmiriyat was a symbol of humanity and services unfortunately it has received serious setbacks due to some handful of black sheeps roaming in the society, it is the sole responsible for to make a collective efforts and ensure fearless and crime free atmosphere, which will stand guarantee to a clean society, safety and security of the people especially women and children, who always become soft targets of criminals, JKPCC said.
