Srinagar, April 11 (KNS): The Bemina Khowmani Chowk drainage project, which was initiated years ago, remains incomplete despite assurances from the authorities that it would be finished within a year, residents complained on Tuesday.
The locals told the Kashmir News Service (KNS), that the failure to complete the project on time has resulted in increased suffering for residents in the area.
They said that the drainage system has not been functioning properly for years, leading to frequent flooding and waterlogging.
They further said that the administration had promised to macadamize the road within a given time period, but that has not happened until now.
The residents feel that the authorities have failed to complete the project on time and provide any alternate facility, which has only increased their difficulties.
The situation in Bemina Khowmani Chowk highlights the need for timely completion of public projects and the importance of addressing the concerns of local residents. The authorities must take immediate action to address the issues faced by the people and ensure that the project is completed as soon as possible.(KNS)
