Bandipora 19 June (KNS): A young gold medalist from north Kashmir's Bandipora thanked Lt. Governor Manoj Sina for mentioning his name in Awaam Ki Awaaz  in keeping my suggestions.

Adnan is International Taekwondo Athlete from Bandipora and have won Gold medal for India in Taekwondo sport.

LG appreciate and lauded his suggestion that taking a leaf from B2V, the government should contact Block, sub-district and district-level organizers, players and other such people affiliated closely with the sports sector in a systematic manner in order to get a clear picture of their problems. In that way, a more effective policy based on public opinion regarding the rejuvenation of sports can be constructed and funds can be better directed and implemented.

He said, " it is a Sport which keeps youth motivated and safe from evil activities. Jammu and Kashmir is undoubtedly doing good in sports, Adnan said. Various Schemes under Central Government and Sports Authority of India are been implemented here time to time. By these schemes I believe it will boost moral of people from grassroots level too".

The various new initiatives that the Centre and the UT governments are taking in order to revitalize the J&K sports sector is commendable, he said.(KNS)
