Srinagar, Apr 10 (KNS): Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad has expressed shock and grief over the loss of more than 100 precious lives at the Puttingal Temple fire in Paravoor, Kerala.
In a statement to KNS, Ghulam Nabi Azad conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and expressed sympathies with the injured. Azad said, “it is a grave and unprecedented tragedy that has befallen the people of Kerala and I stand in solidarity with them in this hour of crisis”.
Urging the Government to provide adequate compensation to the families of dead and the inured, Azad said while no amount of compensation can recoup their losses and heal their wounds, yet the Government must fully come forward to stand with the grieving families.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“It’s in fact a depiction of sensitivity, solidarity and compassion towards those whose lives have been shattered by the tragedy”, said Azad.
Ghulam Nabi Azad called upon the state Government to extend adequate, prompt and quality medical care to those injured in the tragic mishap and take all possible steps to help them rebuild their lives.
Azad prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls. (KNS)
