Auqaf Jamia Masjid extend greetings to people of Eid-ul-Fitr

Srinagar, May 02 (KNS): Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar on behalf of the association and its incarcerated chief Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq has congratulated Muslims on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

 
The Anjuman in its special message said that Eid is actually for those blessed people who have performed the duty of Qiyaam Wa Siyaam (fasting and praying), spent their time in recitation of the holy Qur’an, remembering their Lord, repenting for their sins & asking for forgiveness, and those who made every effort to gain the pleasure and goodwill of Allah Almighty and His Messenger (SAW).
 
“Not only human beings but angels too are congratulating such blessed people and the real Eid is for them,”the Anjuman said.
 
The Anjuman urged the people to remember the destitute, the needy and the poor of the society and include them in the joys of Eid while keeping in view the current situation of the dear homeland and Muslim World.
 
It also appealed to people to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr in a simple manner according to Islamic teachings and said that on this occasion we should also reach out to the victims of the present unfavourable situation; and express sympathy and solidarity with them at every level as this is the real message and spirit of Eid.
