Srinagar, Aug 19(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-E-Sharie Shian president Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi while delivering Ashura Sermon at Shaheed  Aga Syed Mohammad Hussain Memorial Beishti Zehra Park Aga Hassan said that the heart wrenching incident at Karbala on the Day of Ashura has no parallel in the history of mankind.  

By offering his life in sacrifice along with his family, Hadrat Imam Hussain (A.S) proved that for a true Muslim, nothing is more important than the honour and dignity of Islam. 

The historic encounter between the forces of truth and falsehood made Islam an everlasting religion. Though the Day of Ashura recounts a story of grief and anguish, as a matter of fact, it portrays the triumph of virtue over the vice. 

He further said that the steadfastness demonstrated by Hadrat Imam Hussain (R.A) in the face of cruelty and tyranny proves that uprightness always prevails and that any enemy can be defeated with determination and absolute faith in God. 

In the wake of the ongoing conflict between the right and falsehood, we need to seek inspiration and guidance from the uprightness of Hadrat Imam Hussain (R.A) so as to frustrate the evil designs of those who are bent upon damaging the true vision and spirit of a peaceful religion like Islam. 

While concluding Aga Hassan urged to take  pledge today that we will utilize all our energies to preserve the honour and dignity of Islam, serve the society and rid the society of all evils to develop it as a true welfare society(KNS).
