Burial completed as per covid protocol: IGP Kashmir

Srinagar, May 5 (KNS): Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohammed Ashraf Sehrai (77), who died yesterday at Government Medical College Jammu (GMC) was laid to rest in his native village Tekipora of Lolab area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Sehrai was admitted in GMC Jammu from Kot Bhalwal jail after his health start deteriorating, where he breathed his last.

 Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, tested positive for covid-19 posthumously, official sources said.

The rapid test had declared him negative for covid-19, however, his swab came positive for the pathogen after his death, officials added. 
Inspector-General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar confirmed the burial of Sehrai in his native place as per covid protocol in presence of family members.
