The Anjuman in a statement to Kashmir News Service (KNS), while remembering the valuable religious, dawah, literary and reformative services of Hazrat Shah-e-Hamadan (RA) paid glorious tribute to the revered saint and scholar of Islam.

In its tributes, the Anjuman described Hazrat Shah-e-Hamadan (RA) as “an epitome of truth, knowledge, truthfulness, trustworthiness, honesty and guardianship, and a great benefactor, compassionate and mentor of Kashmiris in the true sense of the word”.

Shah-e-Hamadan (RA) travelled from Khatlan Iran to Kashmir after extraordinary hardships and struggles and practically invited the people of Kashmir to Islam; and the people here responded to the call of Hazrat Amir-e-Kabeer (RA), the statement said.

The Anjuman said that it was a miracle of Hazrat Shah-e-Hamadan's faith and high spirituality that as a result of his just three preaching tours, the spring of Islam came to the entire Kashmir Valley forever. “And not only the history but also the destiny of Kashmir changed forever. While the history can be changed but not the destiny,” it said.

Thanks to the great personality of Hazrat Shah-e-Hamdan (RA), the people of Kashmir not only got the priceless wealth of Islam but the revered saint brought art, craft, skills and industry which boosted the economy of Kashmir and brought economic revolution. The people of Kashmir began to advance on the world stage due to these industries which became the hallmark for them. Due to those skills and crafts, Kashmiris earned global fame for hundreds of years.

Hazrat Shah-e-Hamadan (RA) was not only a great scholar and religious leader but also a philosopher, writer and traveller, the Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam said, adding that the right to celebrate the Urs of Hazrat Shah-e- Hamadan (RA) can be fulfilled only when we all make the path of truth shown by him and the guidance of Qur'an and Hadith, a beacon for our lives; and make a commitment to mould our lives into the framework of Islamic teachings.(KNS)
