Srinagar October 18 (KNS): Two non-local labourers were killed in a militant attack in Hermain village of Shopian during intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.
Militants killed two non local labourers when they were asleep at their rented accommodation in Hermain area of South Kashmir's Shopian district during intervening night Monday and Tuesday.
The attack came within two days of a Kashmiri pandit being shot dead in the district.
Police in a tweet said that "Terrorists lobbed hand grenade in Harmen Shopian in which two labourers from UP namely Monish Kumar & Ram Sagar, both residents of Kanooj, UP got injured. They were shifted to hospital where they succumbed. Area cordoned off.."
Meanwhile police in another tweet quoting ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that "Hybrid terrorist of proscribed #terror outfit LeT Imran Bashir Ganie of Harmen #Shopian who lobbed grenade #arrested by Shopian police."
Police said further investigation and raids are going on. (KNS)
