Govt taking several measures to ensure safety of minorities in valley

 
 
Srinagar, July 20 (KNS): Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai informed the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday that in the last few months two incidents of attacks on Kashmiri Pandits have been reported in J&K in which one person was killed and another injured. 

While replying to a question whether the government was aware of the rising attacks on Kashmiri Pandits during last few months, he said that during the last few months two incidents of attacks on Kashmiri Pandits have been reported in which one person was killed and another injured.

He said that the government has taken several measures to ensure the safety of minorities in the valley. 

He said that the security measures including a robust security and intelligence grid, day and night area domination, patrolling and proactive operations against militants, round-the-clock checking at Nakas, deployment of Road Opening Parties at strategic points to thwart any militant attack have been taken.
