Two-minute silence observed on National Martyrs Day at District Police Lines and other offices of District Police Srinagar 

Srinagar: 30th January (KNS): As January 30, Martyr's Day is being observed by the country to commemorate the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, two-minute silence was observed by the officers and officials at District Police Lines Srinagar at 11:00 am today, which was presided over by SSP Srinagar Dr. M. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS. In brief adress to the Officers and officials present,  SSP Srinagar paid rich tributes to the Mahatama Gandhi and held that his approach of non-violance has played a prime role in the Indian Independence struggle and also rich tributes were paid to the Martyrs who made supreme sacrifice during indian freedom movement. With the same message, two-minute silence was observed at all police offices and subordinate units throughout the district to commemorate the Martyrs Day at 11:00 am, especially at District Police Headquarters Srinagar, SP Office City North Zone, SP Office City South Zone, SP Office City East Zone, SP Office City West Zone and SP Office Hazratbal Zone, presided over by the concerned Supervisory Officers.(KNS)
