Tral area deserves to be granted Development Authority status, JKPCC General Secretary Sought redressal of local issues

Srinagar June 17 (KNS): The Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) General Secretary on Thursday drew the attention of the Govt towards development of Tral and other similarly situated scenic places in south Kashmir, which are significant from the tourist point of view.

JKPCC General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi during his day long tour of Tral area in Pulwama District drew the attention of the Govt towards the overall developmental of Tral, saying that it (Tral) carries much significance from the Tourist point of view and deserves to be granted Development Authority given its scenic view.

He said Shikargah, Nagberan, Nagpathri and Gandtal  are most attractive places within the Tral connected with Pahalgam from one side and Dachigam from other side, urging the Govt to initiative measures for declare Tral as a Tourist destination besides Development Authority Status.’

PCC General Secretary also sought redressal of people’s grievances and stated that there are many places, which are disconnected with Tehsil headquarter due to the worst condition of roads, some roads are under construction for a long, but work has been left half way, with the result, the local feel  disappointed to see the negligence of the administration towards the area.

Govt must focus on developmental of Tral and other similarly situated places in South Kashmir and elsewhere and utilize them for Tourist purposes, as that will certainly prove a milestone in the development of such scenic areas, PCC General Secretary added and sought construction of roads, availability of electricity and essential in far off places in Tral area.

PCC General Secretary was accompanied by various party leaders and workers included Sarpanchs, Panchs party block presidents of Tral.(KNS)
