Bandipora, Jul 8 (KNS) : A Power Development Department (PDD) worker lost his life after coming in contact with a live wire while undertaking repair work near Garoora Crossing in north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Wednesday, officials said.

 

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Ismail, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Galkaloo, Garoora.

 

According to officials, the incident occurred while the Permanent Daily Labourer (PDL) was carrying out routine maintenance on a power line.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe was immediately rushed to the District Hospital Bandipora, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

 

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the electrocution. (KNS)
