PCPG meeting held at Police Post Langate, Handwara

 

Langate March 13: (KNS) As a part of public outreach programme, Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was held by Handwara Police at Police Post Langate while following social distancing norms and other protocols.

The meeting was chaired by SP Handwara Dr. G.V Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS besides SDPO Handwara, SHO PS Handwara and other officers and officials were also present in the meeting. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens, BDCs, Traders Association, Panchs, Sarpanchs and Lumberdars of the area. 

During the meeting, the participants raised several grievances of public importance & some issues related to civil administration. The participants also demanded for establishment of a Police Public School and a Gym Centre in Langate area. They have also requested Handwara Police to organize a sports event in Langate to boost the morale of local players.

The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.

SP Handwara thanked the respectable citizens for participating in the meeting and providing valuable suggestions. The participants in the meeting assured their full cooperation to police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinion freely.(KNS)
