Jammu, Oct 8 (KNS): Northern Railway's Jammu Division organised its 10th Retirement Settlement Ceremony at the Divisional Office auditorium on October 7, bidding farewell to seven railway employees who retired in September 2026.
According to an official statement, the ceremony was organised to honour the retiring employees and ensure the settlement of their retirement-related dues and documentation.
Of the seven employees, three belonged to the Operating Department, while two each were from the Commercial and Engineering departments.
The ceremony was presided over by Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM), Jammu, Akshay Kumar Marantu, in the presence of senior divisional railway officers.
Speaking on the occasion, Marantu appreciated the dedication and long years of service rendered by the retiring employees and acknowledged their contribution to the functioning and development of Indian Railways.

During the ceremony, the retiring employees were handed over pension-related documents, retirement benefits and other dues.
The railway authorities also extended their best wishes to the employees and their families for a healthy, happy and prosperous retired life.
Marantu expressed gratitude to the employees for their commitment and services to the organisation and wished them success in their post-retirement lives.
The statement said the Jammu Division regularly organises such ceremonies to ensure timely disbursement of retirement benefits and provide a dignified farewell to employees completing their service.
The initiative also reflects the division's commitment to employee welfare and the timely settlement of retirement-related formalities, it added. (KNS)
