Sopore September 14:(KNS) National & International Footballers Forum District Unit Sopore with the support of NIFF J&K organised one historic match yesterday at College Ground Sopore. The epic match saw two teams featuring some of the best and most decorated players come together on the pitch for this one of a kind event.

A fantastic crowd of football lovers gathered to see the extravagant affair where the two teams comprised of International Stars Ishfaq Ahmed and Mehrajuddin Wadoo who spearheaded teams respectively and other known faces of the game like Shahnawaz Bashir ,Danish Farooq, Khalid Qayoom, Farhan Ganai and the current talented crop of players showcased their talent and display to enthrall the crowd.

The game was a display of quality and clinical football which thoroughly entertained the crowd.The delight on the faces of the fans to watch such superstar players all together playing under one banner. The match ended on a 1-0 win for Ishfaq Ahmed X1 and 12 year old local boy Moosa also graced the occasion by being part of the match but on this day it was football that emerged as the winner.

NIFF members Chairman Bashir Malik,Sajid Yousuf, Hilal Rasool Parray, Manzoor Dar, Iftikhar Ahmed, Muzamil Mahmud, Salman Ashraf, Dr Burhan Amin, Adil Qadir all were present and gave the united message that football needs more push more development and efforts towards nurturing players.
