Srinagar, July 18(KNS): Mirwaiz Khanqah e Faiz Panah Pakherpora, Peerzada Maulana Shakeel ur Rehman Owaisi has welcomed the decision of Jammu & Kashmir Muslim Waqf Board Chairperson Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi to take strict legal action against those who insult Awliya e Kiram on social media.
Talking to media persons after Friday prayers, Moulana Owaisi said that the decision is a positive and timely step. He appreciated chairperson Jammu & Kashmir Muslim waqf board Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi Sahiba for taking a firm stand against those who repeatedly post offensive and disrespectful content about Awliya e Kiram on different social media platforms.
He said that such acts deeply hurt the religious feelings of Muslims and create unnecessary tension in society. "Freedom of expression should never be used to insult religious personalities or spread hatred," he said.

Peerzada Owaisi expressed hope that the authorities would take strict legal action against all those involved in such activities so that no one dares to repeat such acts in the future.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir has a rich Sufi tradition based on peace, respect and brotherhood, and everyone must work together to protect these values.
He also appealed to the public to use social media responsibly and avoid sharing any content that promotes hatred or hurts religious sentiments.
Peerzada Maulana Shakeel ur Rehman Owaisi said that protecting the honour of Awliya e Kiram is the responsibility of every Muslim and appreciated Waqf Chairperson Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi for taking this important initiative.(KNS).
