Srinagar, Sept 21 (KNS): An 8-year old girl died after strangulated in a home-made cradle in north Kashmir’s vilgam area of Kupwara district on Monday.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Anjum Ismael (8) daughter of Mohammad Ismael Mughal resident of Nowbug Vilgam died after she was taking ride in home-made cradle.
Soon after the incident she was rushed to Public Health Centre (PHC) Vilgam where doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.
A police officer confirming the incident to KNS said prima-facie suggested that the minor died of strangulation due to cradle ride while further revelation will come to fore after proper investigations and added the body has been handed over to family after conduct of medico-legal formalities.
He also said that case under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation under Sec 174 CrPC taken up. (KNS)
