Srinagar March 09:(KNS) The demolition drive was launched by Lakes and Waterways Development Authority on Tuesday through its Enforcement Wing in which, 03 single storey houses, 01 one shed, one plinth and one 2nd storey were demolished at Guptganga Ishaber Nishat, Lashkari Mohalla Foreshore Road, Handam Mohalla Foreshore Road, Baber Shah and Miskeen Bagh Rainawari . Despite resistance from the public at many places the demolition was carried out successfully. The Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal constructions/ removal of encroachments and in case anybody found shall be dealt as per law.
Tipper/Load carried owners are directed not carry / ferry any construction material in the prohibited area of Dal/ Nigeen Lake without getting permission All the public residing within the LDA jurisdiction & inlake are hereby once again directed not to go for any sort of illegal constructions / encroachments.(KNS)
