Demanded immediate stern action against the culprit: Qayoom wani


Srinagar August 16:(KNS) Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum has expressed anguish over the blasphemous remarks against prophet of Islam Hazrat Mohammad (Peace be upon him) passed by an anti-social and anti-human element in Riyasi district of J&K which has escalated tensions in the area among the people and has hurt the sentiments of the peace loving people particularly the Muslim community.

In a statement Jammu and Kashmir Civi Society Forum Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani has termed this act an attempt to disrupt the social harmony and an attempt to hurt the sentiments of Muslims at a time when world is facing the worst ever pandemic and when the entire world is in dire need of religious harmony.

Wani said Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) is the highest revered prophet for mankind and any blasphemous act or gesture against him is intolerable. Wani said that Prophet SAW has shown light in the darkness that will keep lightening every aspect of life from cradle to grave for the whole mankind and the people who hurt the sentiments of others on the basis of religion cast and creed are enemies of the Peace and must be condemned by one and all. Wani appealed the people to show patience and tolerance according to the teachings of Islam. Wani urged the authorities for immediate action so that culprit be booked at an earliest for this heinous crime.(KNS)
