BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 5 (KNS) : Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, Saturday conducted an extensive visit of Rafiabad constituency to review the progress of ongoing development works and assess the availability of essential public services.
At Government High School Haman Kandi, the Minister inspected the infrastructure and had detailed feedback on the facilities being provided to the students. He directed the Chief Education Officer, Baramulla, to ensure adequate availability of teaching staff and effective implementation of the Mid-Day Meal Scheme, with focus on providing nutritious meals to students.
The Minister also visited Tanmula village and took stock of the progress on road construction works aimed at improving the connectivity and facilitating smoother movement for the local population. Later, Javid Dar visited Community Health Centre (CHC) Chatosa and inspected the functioning of the health facility. He enquired about the medical services and facilities available to patients. He stressed the need for ensuring adequate basic healthcare services for the people of the area.
The Minister directed the concerned officers to work in coordinated manner and ensure effective delivery of essential services in the sectors of health, education and social welfare. He emphasised that development initiatives should translate into tangible benefits for the people, particularly those living in rural and underserved areas.
Among others, Chief Medical Officer, Baramulla; Chief Education Officer, Baramulla; District Social Welfare Officer, Baramulla and other concerned officers accompanied the Minister during the visit.
