Says authorities should also return body of third civilian to his family for last rites

Srinagar, Nov 19 (KNS): Former minister and senior leader Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, Javaid Mustafa Mir on Friday called for a judicial probed into the civilian killings in Hyderpora encounter on Monday evening.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Mir said that government should order a judicial probe into Hydepora encounter as magisterial probe won't do justice with the families.

He also said that the authorities must return the body of third civilian killed in Hyderpora encounter to his family so that they can have a last glimpse and perform his last rites properly.

"I have been a revenue minister and during my tenure I have seen a lot of magisterial probe and their outcome as well, so I appeal to the LG administration to order a time-bound judicial probe into the incident so that justice to the families is served," he said. (KNS)
