Jammu Tawi-Kathgodam Garib Rath Express to Get Permanent Coach Augmentation

 JAMMU, Sept 3 (KNS): In a significant move to enhance passenger convenience and cater to the anticipated festive rush, Northern Railway has decided to permanently augment the composition of the Jammu Tawi-Kathgodam Garib Rath Express.

 
The decision, confirmed by the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of the Jammu Division, will see the addition of two permanent Third AC (3AC) coaches to Train No. 12207/12208. The train will now run with a total of 13 coaches, up from its current 11, providing approximately 144 additional berths per trip. This augmentation is expected to significantly reduce the waiting list on this popular route.

A senior divisional official stated that the move is part of the Northern Railway's ongoing commitment to providing a smooth, safe, and comfortable journey for passengers. The augmentation is particularly aimed at accommodating the heavy rush of pilgrims and passengers travelling to Uttarakhand during the upcoming festive season. This will enable more passengers to avail comfortable and affordable air-conditioned travel.
 
The official further emphasized that the Jammu Division is actively monitoring passenger convenience and crowd control to ensure a hassle-free travel experience. This step is expected to provide significant relief to passengers from long waiting lists, especially benefiting those travelling to Uttarakhand. (KNS)
