July 10 (KNS) : The Jammu & Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, under the leadership of its President, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safvi, organised grand mourning processions at Hayatpora and Aalipora in Budgam to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the fourth Imam of the Ahlul Bayt (AS), Hazrat Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn Zain-ul-Abidin (AS).
According to a press release issued here, The processions witnessed the participation of a large number of mourners who paid homage to Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (AS) through traditional mourning rituals and reaffirmed their commitment to the timeless message of Karbala.
At Aalipora, Anjuman President Hujjat-ul-Islam wal Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safvi delivered the keynote address from the pulpit. In his scholarly and thought-provoking sermon, Aga Syed Hassan highlighted the sublime personality of Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (AS), describing him as the sole surviving adult male of the Caravan of Karbala upon whom rested the immense responsibility of safeguarding and propagating the mission of Imam Hussain (AS) after the tragedy of Ashura.
He observed that it was through the extraordinary perseverance, patience, and unwavering resolve of Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (AS) and Hazrat Zainab Kubra (SA) that the message of Karbala reached succeeding generations, ensuring that the call of "Ya Hussain (AS)" continues to resonate across the world. Referring to Sahifa Sajjadiya, he described it as an unparalleled treasury of divine knowledge, spirituality, and supplications that continues to guide humanity towards righteousness and salvation. He urged the faithful to emulate the Imam's exemplary character by strengthening their faith, upholding justice, preserving unity, and remaining steadfast in the defence of truth under all circumstances.
Meanwhile, at Hayatpora, Budgam, Hujjat-ul-Islam Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas Mosavi Al-Safvi also addressed a gathering on the occasion. He paid rich tributes to Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (AS), highlighting the Imam's pivotal role in preserving the legacy of Karbala through patience, worship, and steadfastness. He called upon the mourners to remain firmly attached to the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) and to uphold the values of sacrifice, righteousness, and moral responsibility in both their individual and collective lives.
The Anjuman also announced that the central mourning programme to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (AS) will be held tomorrow at Shalimar, Srinagar.
The programme will commence at 9:00 a.m. with Marsiya Khwani, followed by congregational Zuhrain prayers and a religious sermon. The traditional Zuljanah procession will be taken out at 3:00 p.m., during which mourners will pay homage to the oppressed Imam (AS) and renew their pledge to uphold the eternal values and mission of Karbala.(KNS)
