Sopore,20 July (KNS): Sopore police on Monday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler during a Naka at NHW Hygam crossing and have recovered contraband substance from his possession.

According to police statement issued to KNS reads, In its continuous efforts against social evils, Police Party from Police Post Putkha established a Naka at NHW Hygam Crossing.

Acting swiftly, police party apprehended one namely Altaf Hussain Mir resident of Mir Mohalla Hygam and recovered cofrone-cd banned bottles and SIMPLEX capsules from his possession which was seized on spot.

In this connection case FIR No.70/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Tarzoo and further investigation into the matter has been taken up.(KNS)
