Srinagar,July 06 (KNS) : Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Darul Mustafa has clarified that the official invitation extended to Mirwaiz Dr. Mohammad Umar Farooq by the International Relations Department of the Office of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, for participation in the funeral and commemorative ceremonies of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, had been dispatched well in advance of the scheduled events.
In a statement, the organisation stated that, due to an unforeseen communication gap and administrative miscommunication, the invitation could not reach Mirwaiz Dr. Mohammad Umar Farooq within the required timeframe. Consequently, despite the invitation having been formally issued in advance, it was not delivered to him in time to facilitate his participation in the funeral and related commemorative programmes held in Tehran.
Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Darul Mustafa said that the issuance of the invitation was a significant acknowledgement of Mirwaiz Dr. Mohammad Umar Farooq’s distinguished religious standing and his decades-long services in promoting the higher ideals of Islam, preserving religious harmony, strengthening Ittihad-e-Ummat, and fostering mutual respect and understanding among different schools of thought in Jammu and Kashmir.

The statement further said that Mirwaiz’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the religious ethos of Kashmir, advocating peaceful coexistence, and working tirelessly for Muslim unity has earned him respect across religious and sectarian lines. The invitation itself, the organisation noted, reflects international recognition of his valuable contributions to the cause of Islam, communal harmony, and the unity of the Ummah.
Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Darul Mustafa emphasized that personalities who sincerely strive to strengthen unity, mutual respect, and brotherhood among Muslims deserve encouragement and appreciation. At a time when the Muslim Ummah faces numerous challenges, every effort aimed at fostering understanding and cohesion across sectarian lines assumes even greater importance.
The organisation reaffirmed its appreciation for all sincere initiatives aimed at strengthening unity among Muslims and expressed the hope that the spirit of cooperation, mutual respect, and fraternity will continue to guide religious and social institutions in serving the larger interests of the Ummah.
