Bandipora, Jul 15 (KNS): A fitness competition aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and raising awareness against drug abuse was organised in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district on Tuesday, officials said.
The 'Powerman & Powerwoman Quest 2026 (AK Classic 2.0)' was organised by Aesthetickash – The Iron Paradise in collaboration with the District Administration Bandipora and the District Youth Services and Sports Office (DYSSO), they said.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Zaffar Hussain Shawl, who was the chief guest, urged the youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle and stay away from drugs by taking up sports and fitness activities.
The event witnessed participation from fitness enthusiasts, athletes and youth from different parts of the region and aimed to encourage physical fitness, positive youth engagement and awareness against substance abuse, the organisers said.
The competition concluded with the distribution of prizes among the winners.
The organisers thanked the district administration and participants for the successful conduct of the event and said similar initiatives would be organised in future to promote a healthier and drug-free society.(KNS).
