Srinagar November 04 (KNS) : Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) on Wednesday held a meeting of its workers from Bandipora town at the district office. The meeting was presided over by the party’s Vice President Usman Majid . Among others who were present in the meeting include Zonal President JKAP Gh Hassan Lone, District Organizer Mushtaq Ahmed Wani, District Youth President Wasif Mir, Block President Bandipora Mohd Maqboo Mir and other party workers.
Addressing the workers, Usman Majid said people should introspect to understand the emotional politics and setting unattainable goals that have brought only miseries and deaths to them. He said, “For years and decades, the politics of traditional political parties remained dominant by the deceptive narratives around plebiscite, autonomy, self-rule and so on. We have seen thousands of our youngsters dying pursuing these unachievable goals. He said that we must protect our young generation from further misery and deaths; strive for a better future and attainable goals in a peaceful manner.
He said, “Time has come when the people must know that the traditional political parties who remained in power in the past have only exploited the masses over the years. Thus, people need to be cautious this time by not giving away their vote to these traditional exploiters.”He added, “
Majid said, “People have complete faith in Apni Party’s agenda, and they understand that unlike traditional political parties Apni Party has an unambiguous agenda and policies for Jammu and Kashmir and its people. We do not believe in emotional slogans and political gimmicks; thus, we do not promise the moon and stars. But we are committed to working for the peace, prosperity, and development of Jammu and Kashmir, and political and economic empowerment of its people.”
Speaking on the occasion Zonal President JKAP Gh Hassan Lone said the times when people had lost hope and were engulfed by a sense of insecurity and alienation, Apni Party emerged as a ray of hope for them. It was through the unstinting efforts of our leaders, the land and job rights of the people of J&K were secured. Apni Party is a people-centric party that focuses on ushering in an era of peace, prosperity and development in J&K he added.
Speaking on the occasion District Youth President Wasif Mir said that Apni Party is not a “B-team” of the BJP as described by political rivals like the National Conference and the PDP but an outfit which has no history of being a dynasty. It is ironic that those who enjoyed fruits of power, courtesy the BJP, they call us B-team. People will have to really expose and teach those parties a strong lesson in Upcoming elections who are just to retain their hold on power, and want to create doubts about anybody who is new to politics. He said Usman Majid has the mission to serve the people of Bandipora and work for the welfare of general public,” he added.He made a fervent appeal to the people of Bandipora to come forward to contribute to overall development of the Bandipora and people as well.
On the occasion a various political activists which includes Tanveer Ahmed Beigh from Kaloosa, Iqbal Ahmad, Mohd Sultan and Ab Gaffar from Plan joined the party. The new entrants were welcomed by party vice president Usman Majid.(KNS)
