Handwara, Aug 24 (KNS): Massive clashes erupted against the killing of a youth Shahid Basheer of Handwara from early Thursday morning and are still going on.
The violent protestors set on fire two vehicles amid stone pelting on government forces in different parts of Handwara town.
The schools and colleges in the area were closed in view of the apprehensions of the law and order disturbances.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jehangir reached out to protestors and assured them anybody involved in the killing of Shahid will be dealt under law and stern action will be taken against him. However protestors were going on till the filing at this report. (KNS)
