Srinagar, Jan 23 (KNS): CPI (M) senior leader and former Kulgam legislator, Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami on Wednesday condemned the attack on photojournalists when they were covering their professional duties in Shopian district of southern Kashmir on Tuesday.
“The attack on photojournalists is unfortunate and highly condemnable,” Tarigami said in a statement issued to KNS.
He added that the incident that left four photojournalists injured on Tuesday while covering clashes in Shopian district must be probed thoroughly and there must be an immediate end to such attacks on scribes.
Earlier, four photojournalists sustained pellet injuries after they were ‘targeted’ by the forces while covering their professional duties during a gunfight in Shopian district. (KNS)
