Srinagar, Oct 6 (KNS): Srinagar Police on Tuesday organised a civic action programme at J&K Police Public School, Bemina, to commemorate the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The programme was organised under the Civic Action Programme of District Police Srinagar for the financial year 2026-27 and featured a cultural festival centred on the themes of national unity, integrity, patriotism and responsible citizenship.
Students of J&K Police Public School, Bemina participated in traditional folk performances, patriotic songs, skits and the "Sardar Patel & India Integrity Unity Song Competition".
The programme aimed to familiarise students and youth with Patel's role in nation-building and the integration of India, while encouraging them to uphold the values of unity, discipline, integrity and service to the nation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Senior officers of District Police Srinagar, representatives of the civil administration, faculty members and students attended the event.
Police officials said such initiatives are aimed at strengthening police-community relations and engaging with the younger generation while promoting civic responsibility, national integration and patriotism.
The programme was part of Srinagar Police's efforts to undertake community-oriented activities under its Civic Action Programme. (KNS)
